Every September, Breast Cancer Awareness Season is a reminder that early detection remains the single most effective tool we have against breast cancer. This year, URPrecious Imaging in Chandler, Arizona is marking the season with six self-pay wellness screening packages, ranging from $99 to $699, designed to make proactive, comprehensive screening more accessible. This guide explains what's included in each package, who each one is appropriate for, and the terms patients should know before booking.

Why Screening Matters

Mammography remains the only breast imaging exam with randomized controlled trial data behind it — nine trials, over 600,000 women — showing roughly a 50% reduction in breast cancer deaths. Other modalities, including ultrasound, breast MRI, and contrast-enhanced mammography, are valuable supplements for specific situations (such as dense breast tissue), but none replace the mortality-reduction evidence that mammography provides when used as a first-line screening tool.

The Six Wellness Packages

A Note on the Whole Body Packages

Both whole body ultrasound options provide same-day results. The abdominal portion evaluates the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, spleen, kidneys, and pancreas. The pelvic portion evaluates the uterus, ovaries, and urinary bladder in female patients, and can include a transrectal prostate ultrasound for male patients. The carotid and abdominal aortic ultrasound components serve as an indirect assessment of cardiovascular health, though they are not a substitute for a dedicated cardiac evaluation.

Unlike whole-body non-contrast MRI exams offered at other facilities, ultrasound can additionally evaluate blood flow information, use elastography to assess tissue stiffness, and allow the radiologist to problem-solve findings in real time — all with same-day results, rather than waiting days for a report.

Who Should Consider Each Package

• Due for your annual mammogram? The $99 screening mammogram covers the single most evidence-backed screening exam available.
• Have dense breast tissue? The breast ultrasound ($199) or the combined Breast & Bone package ($299) add supplemental screening alongside your mammogram.
• Concerned about bone health, especially if premenopausal or perimenopausal? The R.E.M.S Echolight exam is available starting at age 20 — earlier than a typical DEXA scan is usually considered — and evaluates bone quality, not just density.
• Want a broader wellness check in one visit? The whole body packages screen multiple organ systems in a single 1.5–2 hour appointment, with same-day results.

Important Eligibility Notes

The screening mammogram, screening breast ultrasound, and whole body packages are intended for asymptomatic patients. If you currently have a breast lump, pain, nipple discharge, or another symptom requiring evaluation, these self-pay screening packages are not appropriate — a diagnostic exam with a physician's order is the correct next step instead.

Booking, Payment & Terms

• These are elective, self-pay wellness screening exams. No referring provider's order is required to schedule.
• We recommend having a clinician follow up on your results for continuity of care; URPrecious Imaging's team can help you find one if you don't currently have a provider.
• Payment is required at the time of booking. 0% APR payment plans are available through Cherry and CareCredit, and HSA/FSA is accepted.
• An itemized receipt is available on request. URPrecious Imaging is unable to provide superbills with CPT or ICD-10 codes, and these packages do not use insurance benefits. Most major insurances are accepted for regular, non-promotional diagnostic exams.
• Packages must be purchased between September and December 2026, with appointments completed by December 23, 2026. The office is closed December 24–31.
• Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the appointment are refunded, minus a 3% non-refundable card processing fee. Cancellations within 48 hours are subject to a 50% fee. No-shows forfeit the full payment.
